Cory Oppold grew up in Pearl City, Illinois. Raised on a dairy farm, exposure to wholesome food and a strong work ethic was a way of life for Chef Cory Oppold. After graduating high school with a fascination for art and math, he moved to Phoenix Arizona to pursue a career an architecture. But a year later, after experiencing his first fine dining his career path obviously changed. He went to Scottsdale Culinary Institute and graduated with honors in 2002.
Cory’s training is based solely around fine dining, beginning his career in resorts, then eventually leading to independent restaurants and even teaching at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.
